Khatibzadeh’s comments come in reaction to gatherings in front of Iran's embassy in Kabul and the country's consulate in Herat.
He said that Afghanistan's ruling government is responsible for ensuring the security of Iranian diplomatic missions across the country.
Noting that some comments and video clips have become viral to provoke both the Iranian and Afghan people’s sentiments, he said that the Iranian and Afghan people and governments are required to exercise more caution.
