TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian scientists at a knowledge-based company produced a home-made micromaniplator system for intracellular injection used to treat infertility in couples.
“Micromaniplator is one of the knowledge-based products of the technological company and one of its most important applications is in treatment of infertility,” Sa’eed Khodakhani, the CEO of the company, said on Wednesday.
He explained that the system has two arms to control the situation and a couple of microinjection mechanism which makes intracellular injection possible.
Khodakhani said that the product has also application in the fields of biotechnology, genetics, stem cells and microelectronics, adding that the Iran-made system’s price is one third of its German rivals.
A micromanipulator is a device which is used to physically interact with a sample under a microscope, where a level of precision of movement is necessary that cannot be achieved by the unaided human hand.
